Interbreed championship at North Somerset Show

The Foxhill team made an early outing this week to Monday’s North Somerset Show, with both the Limousin and British Blue championships collected along with the interbreed championship and the show’s champion of champions title.

Leading the way was British Blue heifer Foxhill Nadiya, a January 2018 born heifer by Park Daimler and out of Rhymil Kylie, Charlotte’s foundation heifer and herself a Gitan Du Pti’t Mayeur daughter. She picked up first in her class, before going on to be female champion and breed champion in the British Blues and then interbreed champion and champion of champions.

In the Limousin lines it was Foxhillfarm Naomi which took top honours for the team, standing breed champion having been first in her class and female champion beforehand. Naomi is a daughter of the 140,000gns Trueman Jagger out of Foxhillfarm Isla, a Vantastic daughter and full sister to Foxhillfarm Gracie.

Foxhillfarm Natasha stood second in her class to Naomi, with Natasha also being a Jagger daughter and out of another Gracie sister, Foxhillfarm Iola.

In-calf heifer Foxhillfarm Minesagin then stood second in her class, with this Jagger daughter being out of a Loosebeare Fantastic daughter.

And wrapping up the tickets was the herd’s junior stock bull Elite Monteque. Sired by Lodge Hamlet and out of a Haltcliffe Dancer daughter he stood second in his class.

The team now heads on to Devon County Show next week.
