Interbreed success for Foxhill at Devon County Show

It was a return to showing livestock life for team Foxhill this week with a trip to our favourite local show, Devon County and what a show it was with interbreed championship success in both the sheep and cattle rings.

Following on from a fantastic Charollais Premier Sale at the end of last month, Will and Mike carried on their great run of success by winning the shearling ram class with Foxhill Vermin, before going male and overall breed champion before later that afternoon going interbreed champion.

We also celebrated success in the Texel ring by winning the ram class and then going reserve male and reserve breed champion with a Midlock Yorkie lamb out of a Plasucha ewe.

Meanwhile, the cattle rings saw our British Blue cow Rhymil Kylie return to the circuit with her October-born bull calf at foot Foxhill President, by Bringle Blackstar. She won her cow and calf class and then went on to stand female and breed champion, before being tapped out as reserve Continental interbreed champion on the second day of judging.

Next outing for us will be the Great Yorkshire Show with a slightly extended team.

Heading to Great Yorkshire will be our Aberdeen-Angus cow, Eastfield Patricia
