The first show of the season, Devon County Show, proved to be a successful one again for the Foxhill team, picking up three breed championships across the beef and sheep sections as well as the Continental interbreed championship and reserve in the beef classes and the overall interbreed championship too.

Taking top honours was our Limousin heifer Corranhill Krystal, with this Haltcliffe Dancer daughter being first in her class, Limousin champion, Continental interbreed champion and overall interbreed champion. Krystal is out of Rockfort Fiona, a Vermeil daughter and was bred by Ivor Anderson, Cavan, Eire.
Close behind was Charlotte’s British Blue heifer Rhymil Kylie, with Kylie being first in her class, British Blue champion and reserve Continental interbreed champion.
Other top performers included Foxhillfarm Lordofthering which was first in his class, with Foxhillfarm Missworld second in her class and Foxhillfarm Looksthepart and Foxhillfarm Limitededition third and fourth in the same class as Krystal.
Aberdeen-Angus bull Foxhill Decision S088 was then second in his class, with this being a Rawburn Edge J983 son out of Weeton Diamond Mist N383. And in the Young Farmers section Charlotte took the overall championship with her Limousin heifer Foxhillfarm Mamma.
Not to be outdone the Charollais flock also enjoyed a successful show, taking the female and breed championship with an aged ewe as well as winning all three female classes and being second in the ram lambs.
