The Foxhill Femme Fatales sale of maiden heifers was an outstanding success for the Foxhillfarm Limousin herd, selling 17 heifers to gross more than £11,000 and peaking at 42,000gns for Foxhillfarm Mammamia.

ET bred Mammamia is by the 38,000gns Foxhillfarm Irishlad and out of the 125,000gns Glenrock Illusion and sold with a beef value of +49, inside the top 1% of the breed and was junior Limousin champion at Stars of the Future last November. She sold to Messrs B C and J W Evans, Penrhos, Trefeglwys, Powys.
The second top price for the day at 35,000gns came in the shape of Foxhillfarm Missworld. This full ET sister to Mammamia carries growth EBVs and a Beef Value in the Top 1% of the breed, she also heads to the Penrhos herd of Messrs B C and J W Evans in Powys.
Third best call of the sale was a 19,000gns bid for Foxhillfarm Liberty. This June-15 born heifer out of the herd’s foundation cow Bankdale Alice and by noted sire Broadmeadows Cannon was also the pick of Messrs B C and J W Evans.
Then making 15,000gns was Foxhillfarm Mary. This full sister to the well-known Foxhillfarm Gracie is out of Bankdale Alice and by Wilodge Vantastic. She sold for 15,000gns to head across the water to Mr E Lynch, Drumbannow, Co Cavan, Ireland.
The final five figure call was at 10,000gns for Foxhillfarm Missmoneypenny. This full ET sister to sale topper Mammamia was bought by Graham Morrison, Aberdeenshire.
Three heifers then made 7500gns, with the first being Foxhillfarm Monalisa. A March 16-born full sister to Foxhillfarm Irishlad, she headed to the Northern Ireland home of D and R McFarland, Rayderjem herd, Co Tyrone.
Second through the ring at this price was the August 15-born Foxhillfarm Lookatme. This full ET sister to Mammamia was the pick of Robert Graham for the Grahams herd, Stirling.
And the last to make 7500gns was Foxhillfarm Mellie. An embryo calf and full sister to Foxhillarm Lookatme, she went to W and R Thomson’s Cairnbog herd, Kilsyth, Glasgow.
