Foxhill Livestock

Last week’s Red Ladies Derby and Weaned Calf Sale saw the Foxhill team peak at 7000gns for Foxhillfarm Naughtybutnice, a January-born heifer by Neuf and out of Foxhillfarm Izzy (in the feature image), a full sister to the noted Foxhillfarm Gracie.

Selling with a beef value of +47 she goes back to the outstanding Bankdale Alice and was the pick of John McInerney, Newmarket on Fergus, Co Clare, Eire.

A 4000gns call saw Charlotte’s heifer Foxhillfarm Mama sell to William Orme, Askrigg, Leynurn. She’s a Guards Boomer daughter out of the Wilodge Vantastic daughter Bankdale Elizabeth and sold with a beef value of +43.
Following her were three at 3000gns, with the first of these being the French heifer Laplubelle, a daughter of Erable and out of Amande, a Neuf daughter. She sold to H W Jerman, Glyn Brochan, Llanidloes.

Also making this price was Foxhillfarm Mistique, a daughter of the record priced Trueman Jagger out of Foxhillfarm Justtheone, a Loosebeare Fantastic daughter and a full sister to the 35,000gns Foxhillfarm Jasper. She sold with a beef value of +46 and was taken by the Gould family, Bomere Heath, Shrewsbury.

And the final one at 3000gns was the Guards Boomer daughter Foxhillfarm Martini. This October 2016-born heifer is out of Bankdale Elizabeth, a full sister to Foxhillfarm Gracie. She also headed to Shrewsbury with the Gould family.

Foxhillfarm Nichole, a January-born daughter of Jagger then sold at 2800gns, with this one being out of Foxhillfarm Iola, another full sister to Gracie. She sold with a beef value of +43 and was bought by Lucy James, Holsworthy, Devon.

Then making 2000gns was Foxhillfarm Modesty, a full ET sister to the 3000gns Martini. She sold with a beef value of +44 and was knocked down to S H Hamplett, Haughton, Stafford.

Away from the Foxhill team it was good to see our breeding in demand, with a daughter of Foxhillfarm Jasper selling at 12,000gns when selling to Gary Bell’s Haassidefarm herd, Lockerbie.

We would like to thank all those that purchased cattle from us at the Red Ladies Derby and Weaned Calf Sale as well as our other customers throughout the year.
