Foxhill Livestock

It’s been an exciting month with regards new additions for the Texel flock. At the Kelso tup sales we were fortunate to secure a new stock tup from the Midlock flock of the Wight family. This tup, bought for £23,000, is by a Midlock bred sire which is in turn by the 18,000gns Sportsmans Unbeatable, and is out of a dam by Douganhill Monarch.

Midlock tup purchased for 23,000gns in partnership with Jonathan Watson and John Elliot.

He had previously stood second at the Scottish Texel Club Show in July and was bought in partnership with John Elliot, Roxburgh Mains, Kelso, and Jonathan Watson, Bowsden Moor, Berwick Upon Tweed.

Meanwhile, prior to that we purchased a gimmer at the Solway and Tyne Club Sale at Carlisle in the form of FEB1600408, a Baltier gimmer from Robert Forsyth, bought for 950gns. This ET bred daughter of Garngour Upperclass is out of a dam by Knock Powerpacker.
