It was a quick turn around from Great Yorkshire Show and onto the Royal Welsh Show for the team Foxhill. The Charolais cattle started the Monday judging off with Liscally Angel standing first in her class moving onto stand junior female champion, an exciting prospect for next show season! Larahill Violet carried on her winning season, she also stood first in the class was crowned female & overall breed champion once again, this 2 yr old heifer just keeps getting better & better. After winning overall Charolais champion, Larahill Violet, again went to finish our finale run of interbreed championships in making this her day to collect the top honour being crowned overall interbreed champion.
Larahill Violet finished off her show season by standing supreme interbreed champion, a fantastic show season for this heifer and we look forward to the future with her.
Onto the Aberdeen Angus cattle, Wensleydale Black Voltage Y140 stood first in his class. Foxhill Prince Evolution B192 stood first in his class and went onto win the RWAS special rosette for the best male exhibit born on or after 1 January 2025. The boys then went onto do a 1-2 with Wensleydale Black Votage Y140 standing male champion and Foxhill Prince Evolution B192 taking the reserve male champion.
Blelack Princess Carina X125 stood first in her class and went onto stand female breed champion and then took overall breed champion. Wensleydale Black Voltage Y140 alongside Blelack Princess Carina X125 & her calf then took the win for the best group of three animals (owned by the exhibitor).
This team of Blelack Princess Carina X125 & Wensleydale Black Voltage Y140 also went onto take the Fitzhugh interbreed beef pairs championship with this outstanding pair. Following on from this success they also won the native exhibitor team of three championship with Foxhill Prince Evolution B192, Blelack Princess Carina X125 & Wensleydale Black Voltage Y140.
The Charolais sheep had another great show with our homebred shearling ram (25XWY 01032) winning his class, he also stood Male Champion & Reserve breed champion. In the interbreed the shearling ram was victorious taking the interbreed pairs with a shearling ewe from from David Roberts. On Wednesday, they went one better and took the interbreed supreme pairs title.
We would like to thank all our team back home at Foxhill HQ for keeping the ship going. along with the travelling team of many helpers who have assisted us in make this show season such a huge success. We look forward to one more show in Scotland and then ahead to the winter calf shows.
