Foxhill clinches Great Yorkshire interbreed title

Fresh from his interbreed win at Devon County Show earlier in the month, our Charollais shearling ram, Vermin, took the breed championship at Great Yorkshire Show last week and went one further by taking the interbreed on the MV judging day under Paul Tippetts.

In the breed classes we also won the Group of Three title, stood second in the ewe class, third in the shearling ewe class and fourth in the aged ewe class.

In our first ever outing with the Rouge sheep, our star girl Knighton Wench who we purchased for 6000gns won her class and then went female and overall champion and also made the short lead in the interbreed championship.

In the Rouge ewe lamb class, Foxhill Yokohama claimed the second prize spot. She is a daughter of Knighton Sugartits, who was purchased as a foundation ewe for the flock for 5000gns at the Knighton dispersal Sale also. We have a full brother entered for Carlisle next month.

In the cattle classes, Rhymil Kylie won her cow and calf class and our Aberdeen-Angus cow, Eastfield Patricia stood second in a strong class.
