Foxhillfarm Sportman takes supreme calf championship at Agri Fest

The first of the winter show circuit shows kicked off this week on home turf at Agri-Fest, held at the Devon County Showground.

We took three calves to the show with our Limousin bull calf, Foxhillfarm Sportman winning his class then going on to be Continental calf champion and overall supreme calf champion under judge Mary Cormack. This March-born calf is by Ampertaine Foreman and out of Glenrock Illusion.

Standing second to him in his class and following him to take the reserve Continental calf championship was Foxhillfarm Santiago. Born January, this one is by Derrygullinane Kingbull and out of the Wilodge Vantastic daughter, Foxhillfarm Ivy.

Our Aberdeen-Angus bull calf, Oak Moor Kingston X574 also won his class before clinching the native calf championship and reserve supreme calf championship.

Bought privately, this Duncanziemere Edwin J311 son is out of Oak Moor Katya R295, herself a daughter of Rawburn M552 and goes back to Blelack and Fordafourie breeding on the dam side. Next stop for us will be the Stars of the Future Calf Show at Stirling.
