Team Foxhill had a fantastic start to the show season last week at Devon County Show.
* Blelack Princess Carina X125 stood 1st in the Cow & Calf class with her heifer calf Foxhill Princess Carina C204
* Foxhill Princess Caroline A265 was 1st & went onto stand female champion, Breed Champion & overall Interbreed champion.
* Our Stock bull, Wensleydale Black Voltage Y140 won his class & was male champion & reserve breed champion.
*Foxhill Prince Evolution B192 bull born in 2025 won his class and stood reserve male champion to Wensleydale Black Voltage Y140.
*Winning the Group of three was our Senior bull Wensleydale Black Voltage Y140, Cow Blelack Princess Carina X125 & calf, Heifer Foxhill Princess Caroline A265.
*Foxhill Princess Caroline A265 stood breed champion with Wensleydale Black Voltage Y140 followed her standing reserve breed champion.
*It was the first outing for the Charolais team Liscally Valerie stood first in her class and Larahill Violet stood 2nd behind her in the same class & Foxhill Victorious 3rd in the same class so it was a 1,2,3 for the team.
* Liscally Valerie went onto stand reserve female champion and stood first in the Best Exhibit bred by the Exhibitor who is resident in Devon class.
*Our only entry forward in the Limousin Section was our maiden heifer Foxhillfarm Vogue she won her class and stood female champion, Breed champion & Best Exhibit bred by the Exhibitor who is resident in Devon.
*Produced from Foxhill for owner Mary Cormack in the Simmental Section was Cade Kathleen’s Rockstar who stood first in her class she went onto stand female champion & breed champion. Cade Kathleen’s Rockstar also stood Interbreed reserve champion in the continental Interbreed.
Friday interbreed saw Foxhill take the top honors for the third consecutive year & last year and this year with the same animal our lovely angus heifer Foxhill Princess Caroline A265 this is the third year the Angus have taken the Interbreed Supreme award a good achievement for the Breed. Princess Caroline A265 also took the interbreed best exhibit bred by the exhibitor who is a resident in Devon & Interbreed Champion local beef animal & finishing it off with Overall Supreme Interbreed Champion.
All in all the team took 3 breed champions 1 reserve breed champion and Interbreed champion along with winning the Angus Group & pairs & represented the Angus Breed in the Burke Pair.
To top the week off the team won the points Trophy for winning the most points in the Beef Section.
Not forgetting in the Sheep Section our Charollais sheep had a great show with the shearling ram standing first in his class, he then went onto stand male champion and reserve breed champion. The shearling ewe stood third in its class and helped with with the pairs class with the shearling ram.
