The heatwave we’ve been experiencing continued as we headed North for Great Yorkshire Show. Our heifer team of Charolais cattle had a super show with the Jan 2025 born heifer Liscally Angel standing first in her class. Larahill Violet also stood first in her class and contined her fantastic run of winning by standing overall female champion and then went one better standing overall breed champion & overall junior champion.
Our June 2024 Limousin heifer, Foxhillfarm Vanity stood second in her class. Mary Cormack’s lovely Simmental heifer Cade Kathleen’s Rockstar stood first in her class and then went onto stand female champion, breed champion & reserve interbreed champion.
Last but not least the Aberdeen Angus cattle continued their fantastic form. Our stock bull, Wensleydale Black Voltage Y140 stood first in his class, as did Blelack Princess Carina X125. Foxhill Prince Evolution B192 stood second in his class.
Wensleydale Black Voltage Y140 went onto stand overall male champion & Blelack Princess Carina X125 stood overall female champion. It was a Foxhill head to head for the breed championship. Blelack Princess Carina X125 stood overall breed champion and Wensleydale Black Voltage Y140 stood reserve overall breed champion. What a show season these two are having! Team Foxhill also stood champion pair and champion group of three animals in the Aberdeen Angus.
Not forgetting the Charollais sheep, our shearling ram (25XWY01052) stood first in his class and the shearling ewe (25XWY01052) stood first in her class. They then went onto win the pairs class.
It was then a fifth interbreed championship at our fifth show of the season, this time it was Blelack Princess Carina X125 who stood Supreme Beef Interbreed Champion at the Great Yorkshire Show, following in her footsteps was Mary Cormack’s, Cade Kathleen’s Rockstar who stood reserve interbreed champion, this heifer since purchase has been resident at Foxhill HQ, again she is having a fantastic show season. A quick turnaround as the team head to the Royal Welsh Show next week. We would like to thank our team of fantastic helpers who tave been resent at the shows this season helping turn the cattle out.
