Team Foxhill had a tremendous start to the showing season at Devon County Show last week! Starting on Thursday, Foxhill Diamond Mist Z259 stood first in her class, Female champion, Junior Heifer & overall junior Breed Champion & topped it off to be Breed Champion. Foxhill Diamond Mist Z253 stood 2nd in the same class.
Foxhill Princess Caroline Y167 stood first in her class and went on to win Reserve Female Champion & Reserve Breed Champion. Gretnahouse Evas Honey was also 1st in her class. The team went on win the group of three & best animal bred by the exhibitor.
Onto the Charollais, Gretnahouse Ulric who was purchased privately, made a fantastic start to his showing career standing first in his class & Overall Male Breed Champion.
Thursday afternoon was the start of the sheep showing classes for the Foxhill team with a strong team of Charollais sheep forward. Our ram lamb won his class. The gimmer came 2nd in her class. The shearling ram won his class and went onto stand Male Champion & Reserve Breed Champion. The aged ewe won her class and went onto become Female Champion & Overall Breed Champion. The team of the aged ewe, shearling ram & ram lamb won the group of three class.
On Friday, it was the interbreed classes where the Charollais ram lamb stood reserve interbreed Champion. The aged ewe stood supreme interbreed Champion and helped the team win the interbreed pairs with the shearling ram.
Onto Friday, with the interbreed cattle classes, Foxhill Princess Caroline Y167 stood local interbreed Champion. Foxhill Diamond Mist Z259 stood Reserve Junior Interbreed Champion, Native Interbreed Champion & Overall Supreme Interbreed Champion.
