Having taken a trip up to Stirling for the main Aberdeen-Angus sale of the year, we were delighted to return home with two new stock bulls.
Our first purchase was the third place Westrums Proud Irvin X006 from John Steel. By Hallington Express U648, he’s out of a homebred female by Hallington Expression S529 and he joined the Foxhill herd at 7500gns. He will largely be used on heifers in the herd and will also run with some of the Limousin cattle.
Next up was the intermediate champion, Duncanziemere Exodus X434 from Alistair Clark and family, purchased for 10,000gns. This one is by Auchincrieve Exodus U285 and is out of Duncanziemere Ellen Erica T226, a Rawburn Jester Eric J034 daughter.
