Our two Aberdeen-Angus bulls sold well yesterday at the Society’s main February sale in Stirling, with one trading at 6000gns and the other at 5000gns.
These ET-bred brothers are by Gretnahouse Blacksmith L500, the same sire as our 9000gns October bull and are out of the 13,000gns Weeton Diamond Mist M351, one of our first foundation females. Diamond Mist is by GH Coverboy Eric 110R and is out of Big Sky Diamond Mist 350, an Aberan DMM Decision 26H daughter.
At 6000gns was Foxhill Domino V197 (lot 109), who carries a Terminal Index of +43, a Self Replacing Index of +51 and an Eye Muscle Area of +5.2, while his full brother is Foxhill Duncan V198, this time with a Terminal Index of +45, a Self Replacing Index of +55 and an Eye Muscle area of +4.4. Taking this one home was J and T MacPhersopn, Pitsundry, Bankfoot.
Meanwhile, Foxhill Duncan V198 (lot 110) sold for 5000gns to HJ and IM Duncan, Lands of Drumhead, Balfron. We’d like to wish both buyers the very best with these bulls.
